L Support Rail

L Support Rail

Step-by-Step Guide to Assembling a

Tools and Materials Needed

  • Black pipe kitset for the L Shape Support Rail (pipes, elbows, flanges, screws, etc.)
  • Electric drill or screwdriver
  • Wall anchors (if necessary)
  • Measuring tape
  • Spirit level
  • Pencil

Step 1: Lay Out the Kitset Parts

  • Unbox the kit: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
  • Check components: Lay out the black pipes, fittings, flanges, screws, and elbows.
  • Verify parts: Ensure that all required pieces are present as per the instruction manual. Typical parts include:
    • Straight black pipes (for the rail)
    • Elbows (to connect corners)
    • Side Outlet Elbows
    • Flanges (for mounting)
    • Screws
    • 3-hole flanges: (for attaching the pipes to the wall)

Step 1. Prepare the Wall for Mounting:

  • Decide where the L-shaped support bracket will go.
  • Mark the positions for the 3 flanges that will anchor the structure to the wall: two on the vertical section and one on the horizontal section.

Step 2. Attach the First Flange for the Vertical Section:

  • Take one 3-hole flange and attach it to the wall where the vertical pipe will start.
  • Use a level to ensure proper alignment, then drill pilot holes for the screws.
  • If you’re mounting into drywall, insert wall anchors.
  • Secure the flange with 3 screws.

Step 3. Connect the Vertical Pipes:

  • Take one of the long pipes and screw it into the flange you just mounted.
  • Attach a short pipe to the top of the long pipe using one of the regular elbows. This will create the vertical section of the L-shaped bracket.

Step 4. Attach the Second Flange for Vertical Stability:

  • About halfway up the vertical section, attach the second 3-hole flange.
  • Use the same process: mark, drill, insert anchors if needed, and secure with 3 screws.
  • The second flange will keep the vertical section stable and straight.

Step 5. Connect the Horizontal Section Using the Side Outlet Elbow:

  • At the top of the vertical section, attach the side outlet elbow.
    • One opening will connect to the top of the vertical pipe.
    • The second opening will connect to the horizontal pipe.
    • The third opening will remain unused unless you want to add another support later.
  • Screw a long pipe horizontally into the side outlet of the elbow.

Step 6. Complete the Horizontal Section with a Short Pipe:

  • Now, attach the second short pipe at the far end of the horizontal section using the remaining regular elbow.
  • This elbow will give the structure its final L shape.

Step 7. Attach the Third Flange for Horizontal Support:

  • Use the third flange to secure the far end of the horizontal pipe to the wall.
  • Again, mark the position, drill pilot holes, insert anchors (if necessary), and screw the flange into place.

Step 6: Clean and Finish

  • Wipe down: Clean the rail using a dry cloth to remove any dust or fingerprints.
  • Inspect the installation: Make sure everything looks even and properly aligned.

Step 7: Extend Your Warranty Online
